If you look in my small make-up bag in my purse at any given time or season there is one product you will always find, my Benetint Lip and Cheek Stain by Benefit Cosmetics. This rose-scented tint really is a big miracle in a tiny little bottle! I love my lip gloss like I love my mascara, and I never leave home without this tint no matter what color I am wearing at the moment.
At first glance, it looks like a bright blood-red liquid in the nail polish type bottle. It goes on a more natural berry red color, and with one coat makes your lips look effortlessly flushed. It has the same effect when applied to your cheeks and blended with your fingertips (click here if you would like a more detailed how-to). As Benefit so fittingly describes their product, ” It is the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle”.
My favorite way to wear this product is under a clear plumping gloss for daytime (I have my favorite, the original, and I refuse to break-up with that plumper…I love the way it tingles!). Benetint is also a nice base for any red lipstick or gloss that you want to wear. A dab will do you , and it outlasts whatever gloss or lipstick you have on. As far as lip stains, it has amazing staying power that is wonderful even when you are going to dinner or drinks. It will still be there when you are done, and doesn’t leave your lips feeling dry like most other tints and stains.
