I LOVE Hummus. Here I have included a basic hummus recipe and then you can get creative!
1 – 16oz can of garbanzo beans/chick peas
¼ cup liquid from can (I only do this if I am using organic)
2 tbsp tahini
2-6 tbsp lemon juice (add to taste)
2 tbsp diced garlic
2 tablespoon olive oil
Add all ingredients to blender and then get creative!
What is great about making hummus on your own is adding exactly what you want to. If you are cutting calories cut down or delete tahini and oil. If you don’t like lemon or garlic don’t use it. There are NO rules.
The creative part is adding the veggies. Blend them separate and then stir into the hummus you just made:
